Known Bugs with the Igrill, Courtesy of Vordark. I seriously recommend against buying one. There are very few Tech Support people who know how to work on these. My friend bought one this weekend! I asked him what he thought and we had a pretty good discussion. These were the highlights: 1. He said that the iGrill uses the brand new "AppleSauceLiveOnFireUSB9021EightProng Power Cord Standard", so he needed to buy a special adapter to plug it in ($40 at Mac Warehouse). 2. The "QuickFryin'" software that comes bundled with it is seriously buggy. He told me that setting the thermostat for anything higher than "Medium Well" resulted in a system crash. 3. "BurgerSharing" refused to work over TCP/IP. 4. The 45 minute warm up time you heard is pretty accurate, but only if you boot the iGrill with all of the Extensions loaded. My friend said that if you drop "SlawXPress Loader", the "MasterBaster Libraries" and the "PowerGrill Compatability Library" you can get the time down to 20 minutes. 5. He said the worst problem he had was that, when he tried to grill two marinated chicken breasts the iGrill crashed hard. After rebooting, it got as far as the Happy Grill icon then hung. Apparently, you can't reboot the iGrill with food in it. You have to eject the food with a paperclip first. By the time he figured that out, the chicken was corrupted. Be sure to check out Apple's other new wonder, the iLamp today!
